Drafting a 6'6" goalie who busts is a "good bet that didn't work out." Drafting a 5'10" goalie who busts is a "judgment error." So you default to size.
How We Evaluate Goaltenders
Our human-in-the-loop annotation process captures objective reality—not subjective opinions.
Video Capture
Goalies upload high-resolution footage from glass-mounted action cameras (typically GoPro). We annotate both teams' goaltenders simultaneously.
Independent Human Review
A trained analyst with no connection to either team confirms every shot, save, and goal—producing the verified box score behind the Traditional tier.
Shot Identification & Classification
For Advanced-tier goalies, the same analyst classifies each shot based on pre-shot movement, location, and visual obstruction: Grade X (Defensive Breakdown), A (High Danger), B (Medium), C (Low).
Event Sequence Tracking
We track every event leading up to each shot—passes, carries, screens—and every event after: rebounds, freezes, stoppages. Objective facts, not opinions.
Performance Metrics Generation
We generate GSAx, SVAx, RVA (Rebound Value Added), save percentages by zone, and peer-benchmarked comparisons. You get a full performance profile—not just a highlight reel.

What Advanced-Tier Profiles Add
Every profile starts with a verified box score. Goalies on the Advanced tier also give you this:
Environment-Adjusted Performance
See how the goalie performs relative to shot difficulty. A .895 SV% on a weak defensive team might be elite (+2.5 GSAx). A .920 on an elite defensive team might be average (-1.2 GSAx).
Save% by Shot Grade
See performance broken down by danger level. Are they elite on Grade C (perimeter) but struggle on Grade A (high danger)? You need to know before you sign them.
Rebound Control Data
RVA (Rebound Value Added) quantifies whether they kill plays or create second chances. This metric predicts which goalies will succeed under pressure.
Workload Capacity
See how they perform under heavy shot volume. Do they maintain performance when facing 40+ shots? Or do they fade as workload increases?
Development Trajectory
Longitudinal tracking shows improvement over time. A goalie whose GSAx climbed from -2.4 to +1.8 over 8 weeks proves coachability—an elite trait.
Peer-Benchmarked Comparisons
Compare prospects against the average for their age group and competition level. See who's truly elite relative to their peers.
